Prep: 10 mins. Start to Finish: 50 mins.
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 1/2 cups Bisquick mix
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Powder Sugar Glaze
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 to 2 teaspoons water

1. Heat oven to 375. Grease bottom and sides of 9x5-inch loaf pan with shortening or spray w/ non-stick cokking spray. In small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and the cinnamon; set aside.

2. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk, 1/3 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons softened butter, the vanilla and egg until soft dough forms. Shapedough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinn/sugar. Place dough randomly in pan. Sprinkle with any remaining cinn/sugar; drizzle 2 tablespoons melted butter over dough balls.

3. Bake 25 to 30 mins. or until golden brown. Let stand in pan 10 mins. Meanwhile, in small bowl mix glaze ingredients until smooth and thin enough to drizzle.

4. Remove loaf from pan to cooling rack. Drizzle glaze over loaf. Cut into small slices. Serve warm.

There are several recipes and quite a controversy over how the real Elvis’s sandwich was prepared. There are those who swear it had Marshmallow Fluff spread on one slice of bread, peanut butter on the other and bananas in between. Others don’t believe that for one minute. You can try it both ways, but I prefer mine without the Fluff. This sandwich packs quite a lot of calories (close to 600 or more) so I suggest you indulge in this treat and then plan a trip to the gym.
The recipe couldn’t be simpler. Here is what you will need for each sandwich:
2 slices of bread
2 tablespoons of peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
? banana, sliced (or mashed)
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
Skillet
Slather one slice of bread with peanut butter. Place banana slices (or mashed banana) over the top in a single layer. Top with the other bread slice. Butter the top of the slice of bread. Now place the sandwich with the buttered side down in the skillet. Butter the top of the sandwich. Fry over medium heat until golden. Flip with a spatula and repeat so both sides nicely browned. Serve hot with plenty of napkins.

I had one mission for this weekend. Blow off some steam to get my head clear. I have been totally designed blocked lately and for the first time in a bit, I think the stress is finally getting to me. There is only so much on person can deal with. I really just need to get my head back in the game and just let everything do it's thing so it can all come back together in harmony.

My today started at the end of yesterday. Met people downtown around midnight. Chase and Angie were in the house and funny enough, the bar was way more packed on Thursday night. After a few beverages all was feeling great. I was just where I wanted to be, relaxed. Talked shop with Chase for a minute while Angie did not approve, haha. I always get in trouble for talking too much work.

We did some creepin' around and I attempted to do some dancing, but the vibe wasn't quite on yet. I think about 1 I told Angie I woul run her over to meet up with her roommate on the Ruckus. We set off and it was on!

Wow, what a calamity that was. Two people on a scooter made for one. My unknowing of the city and of where we were going and her on point *eye roll* directions got us there imperfectly. Even better, when we got the where we needed to be, her roommate was still at work. I didn't care. I was dancing my ass of inside, outside, scooter side. I offered plenty of time to trade Angie out for one of the Local College ladies. I think some were game, haha. The theme of the night, since we were in the gut of the college zone, was Toga, well Toka as I was shouting out.

With Angie on the horn and me shouting, I thought we were going to jail. But people were hyped and we just didn't care. Eventually we found the roommate and made #1 in the closed down pizza shops bathrooms, we hit the road again, back to the Shaking Spear, or Hamlet or, whatever.

Angie had to perform magic to gain reentry and by that point it was on and I was showing the ladies how you are really supposed to dance. Beast part, the day has not even begun. I am still getting through the night.

Lights on, I kick it out front for a while and talk to Devin as he shot his photos of the scene on 6th street. Eventually I would call it and would make a stop for a Homeslice on the way home. Sleep then up and at em.

Best beginning of a technical day ever. Up the next day around 12 after going to bed after 4am. I set off to Nueva Onda for some grub. Turned out I had just missed Bogues, since he had the same idea as me, but about 15-20 minutes sooner. I scarf down a dialed Menudo breakfast and head back to the crib.

After a while I talked to Angie and we decided to meet up at the Shark Tank to ride. I am finally giving this place a chance and man is it fun. I rode for so long almost non-stop. Eventually Angie and I needed to head out to Taj's for a Sushi dinner we had been invited too. A quick stop at home for a change and we were off.

I will admit, I was pretty apprehensive about eating at an all veggie Sushi night. Well I caved quick and my mouth thanked me for it. So great the food was. A few highlights of the evening were meeting Michael Sieben, Chatting with Parrick and Taj, the food, the Jagger, and the Windex Blue Maddog 20 20 everyone was stoked to be passing around. We called it after a few hours and headed back to the Tank to ride more.

I only lasted maybe an hour into session 2 of the day. Eventually my legs were just too damn tire to do anything. I was pretty stoked that I managed to do a lot of new stuff that I had never even thought of before. There are sections of that park that just push me to make the brain work. I can't wait to make the sessions there a regular thing. Thanks Shark, Andy and Randy.

I ended the night with a burrito, over 2000 calories short from breaking even on the day, some Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Storm Chasers. What a great 24 hours. Thanks for being my partner in crime Angie. Sometime you just have to break of the I don't care switch and have a great time.

...a fun lunch in the big Hakoya box. I made the salad rolls first, and then winged the side dishes. I had intended to pack it all in my usual little box but the rolls were too long and wouldn't fit.

The strawberries just mysteriously appeared in the fridge (yay G'ma!) and I'm looking forward to my chocolate-and-strawberry dessert this afternoon.
